Beach House Baby Quilt

Hello everyone! Today I would love to share with you the news of my second AccuQuilt guest blog post, featuring my "Beach House" baby quilt. This fun project utilizes the GO! Hexagon 1", 1.5" and 2.5" and the GO! Equilateral Triangles 1", 1.5" and 2.5" dies.

I have made an equilateral triangle quilt before. Many times actually.
And I have made a hexagon quilt before.

This was such a fun project to pass the day away on.
Playing in my sewing space!

For the hexagons, I found this cute charm pack of "Beach House" by Kate Nelligan for Moda. I have had it since the spring. And now that summer's over, I figured it could help revive thoughts of those days spent down at the beach.

You'll find that this GO! Hexagon die is the perfect size for using your charm squares. Or using up some of your small scraps!

For the triangles I used Kona Snow. Sure makes those bright colours pop!

I quilted this with my walking foot using the serpentine stitch across the seams from edge to edge and down the middle of each row, using plain white Guetermann polyester thread on top and in the bobbin.

In keeping with the nautical theme, for the backing I chose this adorable shark print called Shark Attack by Deborah Edwards for Northcott Fabrics.

The binding is also by Northcott Fabrics. It's Undersea Adventures from the Stone Henge collection.

"Beach House Baby" finished at approximately 36" x 41"
and was the 62nd use of my 100 labels
ordered from Ikaprint.

"Beach House Baby" quilt,

Hello. Just had this pop-up on your FB feed. I love this!!! I do not have a die-cut machine. Could I still make it without one?

This is a great design. I like how the stars are hidden and come out when you stare at them long enough.
